FAQs

What is an VBP Accountant?

An Accountant at VBP provides support for your business in the interpretation and presentation of financial data and reports. They also perform various administrative and accounting tasks, including processing transactions and maintaining profiles. Our accountants support tax compliance through the preparation of Individual, Partnership, Trust, FBT and Company Tax Returns and other ATO-related tasks.

What services can a VBP Accountant provide?

VBP accountants offer support across three core areas: Accounting Tasks (reconciliation, journal entries, payroll finalisation, annual reporting and quarterly management reporting); Administrative Tasks (email correspondence, client profile maintenance, document management, ASIC correspondence and lodgements, and statutory document creation); and Tax Returns (preparation of individual, business, and fringe benefit tax returns, and support with ATO compliance activities).

What certifications do VBP Accountants have?

Our accountants have a PH degree in Accounting, BAS and/or Tax modules from an Australian RTO, Level 1, 2 and 3 Xero Adviser Certified and Xero Payroll Certified.

Do VBP Accountants handle tax compliance tasks?

Yes. Our accountants assist with the preparation of Individual, Partnership, Trust, FBT and Company tax returns and other ATO-related tasks.  They also support ATO compliance activities, working within clearly defined roles to support registered tax agents or internal accounting teams.

Is VBP a Tax Agent, BAS Agent, or qualified tax relevant provider?

No. VBP is not a registered Tax Agent, BAS Agent, or qualified tax relevant provider.

Are VBP’s team members impacted by TASA Code of Professional Conduct changes?

While the Code has limited application to offshore team members, there is one event - conviction for an offence involving fraud or dishonesty - that could classify an offshore entity as disqualified. This is determined by reference to community standards and does not appear limited to Australian jurisdiction.

What steps has VBP taken to ensure it is not engaged with a disqualified entity or individual?

VBP conducts thorough sanction screening of executives and accounting personnel to ensure alignment with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA). However, ultimate responsibility for TASA compliance rests with the client.

What does onboarding an VBP Accountant involve?

VBP uses a phased task roadmap, starting with low-risk, templated, day-to-day tasks. As quality and trust are established, you can assign additional clients and more complex workloads to your VBP Accountant over time.

How does VBP ensure quality and accuracy in accounting support?

VBP accountants undergo structured training, operate with close oversight and follow clearly defined workflows. Focus areas include attention to detail, responsiveness and alignment with Australian compliance standards.

Is this service suitable for small or boutique advice firms?

Yes. The service is designed to be scalable and cost-effective, enabling smaller firms to access qualified support without needing to hire full-time in-house staff.
