David Carney

Director

David is the CEO of VBP and brings 28 years of experience working in the financial services industry and leading teams.
With his experience of owning and managing his own advice firm, DC understands the challenges of building momentum, growth and the constant need to find a better way.
This led to the formation of VBP and importantly the constant development of the business to continue supporting the changing demands of advisers, and becoming growth partners with an expanded service offer.

Sue Viskovic

GM - Consulting

Sue Viskovic joins VBP as the General Manager of Consulting, following the acquisition of Elixir Consulting.

With over 20 years of experience in financial services, with roles spanning across banking, funds management, advice and licensee services, Sue built her career and business by helping financial advisers, accountants and risk specialists improve the way they run their businesses.

With the combined business of Elixir and VBP, we are able to offer superior service to clients and cement ourselves as the “go-to” growth partners for advice firms.

Nath Moyes

General Manager

With over two decades of experience in managing teams and businesses across the product life cycle, Nath currently serves as the General Manager in VBP.
He is responsible for overseeing daily business activities, improving overall business functions including finance and strategies as well as communicating business goals.
Nath has owned and worked for multiple business units and is an accomplished people manager, developer and leader with extensive change management experience.

Sarah Matthews

Chief Experience Officer

Sarah brings a decade of experience working in the financial services industry, as a qualified financial adviser and mortgage broker. Over the past few years, she has held various leadership roles at VBP, supporting our growth and services development. As the Chief Experience Officer, Sarah is responsible for the operations and development of our global team services, leading us to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Shaun Nesbitt

Chief Information and Digital Officer

As the Chief Information and Digital Officer, Shaun is responsible for the management, implementation, and usability of information and computer technologies within VBP.
He helps ensure that the company maintains a competitive advantage over others and adapts to changes over time, striking a balance between the day-to-day administration of technology and predicting future technology needs and trends.

Valery Jakosalem

Head of Client Delivery

In her capacity as Head of Strategic Relationship Management at VBP, Valery Jakosalem brings a wealth of expertise cultivated through diverse roles within the organisation. Her seasoned understanding of the VBP ecosystem enables her to adeptly guide businesses in optimising their collaborative endeavours.

As the Head of the Strategic Relationship Management team, she specialises in cultivating impactful relationships and crafting tailored solutions for enduring business growth. Her proactive leadership ensures client expectations are consistently surpassed, driving success within the VBP ecosystem.

Andrew Rocks

Head of Partnership and Business Development

After a character-building career in Cotton Chipping at Boggabri, and a very good time at Uni at Newcastle, Andrew, who is commonly known as “Rocksy” by his peers, moved to Sydney and founded the Announcer Group of Companies (now Infocus). The Announcer Group was VBP’s first client way back 2013. Currently, Rocksy runs a couple more companies in the financial planning industry – XY Adviser (now Ensombl) and WealthCentral.

In 2020, Rocksy joined VBP as the Head of Partnership and Business Development. His role is to lead the VBP Sales team and ensure that we establish the best partnership with our clients, helping them build the future of their business.

Tara Grace Calalang

Head of People & Culture

Tara joins VBP as the Head of People and Culture VBP after a 15-year career with Accenture and has a depth of experience across employment, recruitment, and related disciplines.

Throughout her career, Tara has led and overseen HR functions including performance management, supply management, employee engagement, talent development, and total rewards.

With her role, she has become a key member of the Philippine leadership team and another Filipino voice that adds to the diversity and integrity of our broader strategy and decision-making teams.

Adrian Ashton

Key Account Manager

Adrian has been a part of the financial services industry since 1997. For 27 years, he has worked in M&A, Advisor licensing, Life Insurance, Funds management, Platforms, Margin lending and ran a financial planning business.

In 2016, he started his journey with AZ NGA as its second team member. Since then, he has worked closely in managing the relationships between AZ NGA and its member firms, whilst supporting most of them through their M&A transactions.

At the start of 2024, Adrian takes on a new role at VBP as a Key Account Manager. In this pivotal role, he acts as the primary point of contact for VBP that ensures that relationships between AZ NGA and firms owned by AZ NGA are well managed and nurtured. He also develops strategic account plans, identifies growth opportunities, and negotiates contracts for VBP.

Shi-an Llanto

Head of Client Delivery

Shi-an is the Head of Client Delivery in VBP who leads a dedicated team of talented professionals, She serves as the first line of escalation, managing attrition, and driving performance management.

With a focus on fostering an outstanding team culture, Shi-an champions VBP’s values and provides coaching to align behaviours with the shared core values.

Prior to her current role, she was one of the cluster heads working with Client Services Managers (CSMs) and dedicated Team Leads in overseeing about 250 admin team members and ensuring the right support and direction are provided to achieve great outcomes for clients.

With a career spanning various leadership roles over the last 20 years, Shi-an consistently pursues a results-oriented approach that yields positive outcomes in people leadership, client management, and business improvement.

Eloisa Grace Camado

Head of Commercial & Strategy

As Head of Commercial and Strategy (HCS), Eloisa is a senior business leader on critical initiatives. She has strategic deliverables to address core planning and outcomes in terms of resource planning, technology roadmap, people and leadership development.

A graduate of BS Business Administration – majoring in Business Analytics, Eloisa has 15 years of experience on her sleeve as a Senior Operations Manager and Process Excellence Manager. She also has experience in Mid-line Management, Executive Client Management, Robotics Design and Deployment, and Project Management.

Apart from that, she is a Six Sigma Certified – Black Belt and LEAN Facilitator.

Dolly Leviste

Head of Accounting & Finance

Dolly is the Head of Finance and Accounting at VBP.. As a team leader, She oversees all financial operations including budget management, and financial data analysis and provides strategic recommendations to support company growth and profitability.

With her Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification, she successfully leads the finance department and ensures smooth operations. finance department

Her bachelor’s degree in accounting, along with over 3 decades of experience in the finance and accounting field makes her an invaluable member of the leadership team.

Paul Barrett

Chairman

Paul is the Founder and CEO of AZ NGA.
He established AZ NGA in 2015, after a career as a senior executive at some of Australia’s leading banking and financial services institutions including the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, ANZ Bank, Colonial First State, and Rothschild.
Prior to AZ NGA, Paul helped 4 Pines Brewing Company establish its first Board, serving as the group’s inaugural Chairman in 2014. During a period of significant growth and expansion, he guided the group to become a Certified B Corporation and oversaw its 2017 acquisition by global giant Anheuser-Busch InBev. Paul is also Chair of the 4 Pines Advisory Committee.
And most recently, a momentous partnership was forged as AZ NGA became one of VBP’s capital co-investors, enabling all partners involved to fulfil key strategic priorities in the year 2022.

David Deegan

Director

David Deegan, more known as “DD” by his peers, has been a core part of VBP’s journey since its inception. Often the solution designer and process conscience, DD’s influence is in the very fabric of VBP.
DD led our innovation endeavours up until 2023 when he stepped down as Head of Innovation and took on a consultant role in the company.
DD remains a member of the board and an ongoing contributor to VBP.

David Stephen

Board member

David is a Certified Financial Planner® and Managing Director at Invest Blue. As a Managing Director, he is responsible for executing the strategic plan of the business (in conjunction with the leadership team) and driving the development of strategy with the board.
David joined Invest Blue as a consultant in 2001 and since then has held advising, strategy and management roles within the business. Within these roles, he demonstrated his ability to solve complex problems by thinking outside the box.
After having held the role of Director for a year, David was appointed Managing Director in 2009.

Massimo Guiati

Director

Massimo Guiati founded An Zhong (AZ) Investment Management Hong Kong Ltd.
He has successfully led 6 different companies. He was the Co-Chief Executive Officer and director at Azimut Holding SpA and Chairman of Azimut Genesis Holdings LLC, Chairman of AZ Sinopro Financial Planning Ltd., Chairman of AZ Sinopro Investment Planning Ltd., Chief Executive Officer of AZ US Holding, Inc. and Chief Investment Officer for An Zhong (AZ) Investment Management Hong Kong Ltd. (which are all subsidiaries of Azimut Holding SpA). Apart from that, he also held a position as Chairman at Sanctuary Wealth Group LLC and Portfolio Manager at Azimut SGR SpA.
Currently, he sits as one of the board members of VBP and 38 other companies.

Paul Haslam

Director

Paul has been a financial planner with AMPFP for over 18 years. Before that, he gained experience in banking, lending and real estate roles. This resulted in him having more than 30 years of experience within the financial services industry.
Paul has been integral in the growth of the Invest Blue business from an insurance and superannuation business in Armidale to one of the leading financial service businesses within Australia.
Paul is passionate about the delivery of a consistent client experience through the support of tailored financial advice, systems and processes. He has been actively involved in the development of the Invest Blue brand and believes, that living Invest Blue’s culture and core values is what sets Invest Blue apart from their competitors.
